Born in  a middle class farmer family in the Chittoor(


ചി റ്റൂർ ) village of Manakkad Panchayath in Thodupuzha Thaluk of Idukki District in  Kerala on  21st October,1933,I had my primary ,middle and Secondary education at Chittoor NSS LP school, Manakkad NSS UP school and Thodupuzha  Govt.Gigh School respectively. Good at studies in schools I got a Fist Class in SSLC Examination in 1953 and it enabled me to secure admission to the Prestegious College, Ernakulam Maha Rajas College .On completing my Intermediate I joined the Veterinary College at Mannuthy, Trichur for a B.V.Sc. Degree course in 1955 and graduated in 1959. On graduation I joined the Department of Animal Husbandry as an Extension Officer, then moved to the Post of Veterinary Surgeon, N.Parur and then to that of Technical Assistant at Ernakulam District Animal Husbandry office.
Joined the Veterinary College as a Lecturer in 1962 , promoted subsequently to the positions of Reader and Associate Professor and later in 1976 was selected as the first Professor of Animal Nutrition in the Veterinary College wgich by that time had been merged with the new Kerala Agricultural University. Then I became the Associate Director Extension and then The Director of Extension for some time and retired from service in 1993. I had taken my Masters Degree in Nutrition as a Departmental Candidate and Doctorate on full Deputation and ICAR Senior Fellowship.I took a P.G. Diploma in Business Administration of the Annamalai University in 1983.
This being my back ground of birth and education and profession I will introduce myselt to others my different faces of activity next...
